A great American storyteller has left us. Jimmy Buffett, famous for making the lazy Caribbean Island lifestyle famous. His classic hits are famous, and most people know them by heart.
Below are two other albums from two different era.
Havana Daydreamin’: My favorite, released in 1976, is a great reflection from a man who escaped to Key West and lived a life we all dream of.
Hot Water: Released in 1988 and well into his solid success this album has a little of everything Buffett. The fun-loving sing along songs, but some introspective storytelling form his early days.

Constantinople/Istanbul
The summer has passed and me and the family recently returned from visiting Greece, but ended our trip in Constantinople, modern day Istanbul. A truly fascinating city which for centuries was the center of the known world.
The Roman emperor. Constantine moved the capital of the Roman Empire from Rome to Byzantium and renamed the city after himself. The Empire lasted until 1453 when the Ottoman Turks sacked the city, but for 1000 years it was the City of Cities. Mixed in with Ottoman culture, the city is a must see.
